Russell Logan

     Russell Melvin Logan, age 88 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his residence.  

     He was born December 15, 1933 in Burkesville, KY to Robert Logan and Nettie (Wright) Logan. He was a member of Wolf River United Baptist Church, a Corporal in the United States Army from 1954-1956, and a previous worker in the HVAC industry. 

     Russell was survived by his Wife: Stella (Bond) Logan; (4) Daughters: Nancy Moon (Danny), Connie Logan, Jeanne Lee (John), Karen Duncan (Kevin), (3) Sons: Charlie Logan (Joette), Gary Logan (Rhonda), Steve Logan; (2) Sisters: Mary Dishman, Lena Buck; (21) Grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Robert and Nettie Logan; (2) Sons: Johnny Logan and Scott Logan; (4) Sisters: Anna Mae Carol, Maggie Logan, Martha Walker, Stella Stambough; (4) Brothers: Bobby Logan, Reed Logan, Ray Logan, Gene Logan; (2) Stillborn Grandchildren.

     Funeral services were held Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Stephen Bilbrey officiating. Burial was in Bond Cemetery. Military honors were provided by Hull-York Chapter 5 DAV and American Legion Post #137 - Jamestown, TN.

     Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Duncan, John Lee, Jason Parris, Nathan Melton, Dylan Hill, Lyric Parris. 

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were CJ Collier, Dustin Garrett, Sam Ball, Tony Walker, Trevor Brown.
