Renee Phillips

     Billie Renee (Cooksey) Phillips, age 52 of Grimsley, TN passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

     She was born May 1, 1971 in Crossville, TN to Steve Cooksey and Jessie (Clark) Cooksey. She was a lawyer. 

     Renee was survived by (2) daughters: Chloe Phillips and Avery Phillips; (1) son: Ethan Phillips; (1) grandchild: Hayden Flowers; significant other: Ralph Stewart; parents: Steve and Jessie Cooksey; (1) brother: Steven Cooksey and wife: Nikki; (2) nieces: Lydia and Jessa Cooksey; (1) nephew: Grayson Smith. Also survived by other family members and friends. 

     Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins, Bro. Rick Cross, Bro. Keith Pryor and Babu Omido officiating. The burial was in Clark Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Brian Lee, John Asberry, Dr. Mark Clapp, Tim Dillard, Gage Lane, Cody Smith and Chris Cornwell.

     The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel
