Nell (Martin) Upchurch age 96 of Pickett Co. Care and Rehab in Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Pickett Co. Care and Rehab.

She was born April 15, 1924 in Static, TN to William Clarence Martin and Lula Mae (Hildreth) Martin. She attended the Midway Christian Church and she maintained a deep and abiding faith in God throughout her life. She was a past employee with Rose's Department Store in Morehead KY until her retirement in 1987 and she returned to her roots moving into the house at Livingston, in Livingston, TN built by her father Clarence Martin. Nell enjoyed working in her flower garden and Crocheting Afghans, that she generously gave to family and friends. She also attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN.

Nell is survived by (1) Daughter: Brenda Holbrook; (2) Sons: Billy Upchurch (Teketa) and Jimmy Upchurch (Betsy) ; (1) Sister: Cora Sue Williams; (8) Grandchildren: Billy Joe, Shelly,Jason,Harley,Charlene Nell, Heather,Jeremy and Kelli Upchurch; Also survived by (6) Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: William Clarence Martin and Lula Mae Martin; (3) Sisters: Lenola Dyer, Orella Boles and Charlene Martin; (3) Brothers: Willie D., Donald and Glenn Martin.

The family has chosen cremation with no memorial service and her cremains will be interred in the Maupin Cemetery.
