Lowell Harrison Winningham

     Lowell Harrison Winningham, age 80 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Overton County Care and Rehab. 

     He was born January 17, 1942 in Monroe, TN to Posey Winningham and Ina (Sells) Winningham. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retiring as a 1SG with 25th Infantry Division, 65th Engineer Battalion. He was a former truck driver for Pickett County Highway Department and Averitt Express.

     Lowell is survived by his Best Friends: Jimmy and Donna Cope; (5) Grandchildren: Will, Kayleigh, Ily, Makayla and Makenzie; (1) Sister: Betty Sipe and Husband: Gene; (1) Brother: Max Winningham; (1) Step Daughter: Roberta Thomas; (1) Step Son: Bill Thomas and Wife: Tammy; (3) Step Grandchildren: Will, Kelly and Morgan; Cousins: Norma Brooks and Melody Griffiths. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Posey and Ina Winningham; Wife: Naoma (Burchell) Winningham; (1) Sister: Lois Ruth Winningham; (6) Brothers: Harlan, Lester, Billy, Bobby, Larry and Donald Winningham. 

     Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Jack Winningham officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery with military honors conducted by Hull-York DAV Chapter 5 and American Legion Post 137 - Jamestown, TN.

     * The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.
