Lois Persephone Robbins Jolley, 85, of the Lovelady Community passed away peacefully at her home where she wanted to be on September 17, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends.
Lois was a devoted Christian, a loving wife and mother and very proud grandmother who loved all of her family and her friends. She was born in Monroe, TN but had lived much of her life in Lexington, KY. She and Buster returned full time to Byrdstown after his retirement.
Lois worked many years at Star Point Resort. She loved going to Cookeville and eating at O'Charley's. She loved keeping her yard and home neat, and sitting in her swing watching the birds. Lois loved getting her hair done, nails, and having pedicures. Her life changed the most when she became a grandmother. She lived for her grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Winsted Robbins and Flossie Edith Shewmake Robbins; husband Harold "Buster" Jolley; siblings Roy Gene Robbins, Mona Leota Robbins, Luther Elton Robbins, Mary John Smith. Surviving Relatives: loving daughter, Janet Jolley Alley, Grandsons Cullen Dereck Alley and Colby Keith Alley. Sisters Evelyn Grace Martin and Judy Mae Sells as well as a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Lisa Harper Baker and Earl Claborn officiating. Burial will be in Vann's Branch Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Timmy Martin, Tyler Martin, Trent Martin, Trey Martin, Allen Sells and Steve Jolley.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Teddy Martin, James Amos Martin, Steve Riley and Kolbey Melton.
