Joyce Dean (Byrd) Smith

     Joyce Dean Byrd Smith,74, of Monroe, TN, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born November 5, 1945 in Monroe, TN to William Alford and Alma Dean Wright Byrd. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church and worked as a server at the Mascot Restaurant and a local factory worker.

     She is survived by her (2) Sons: Timmy Smith and Wife: Vicki, Tony Smith and Son-In-Law: T. Clark Miller; (3) Grandchildren: Ashlei Stevens, Heather Smith, and Tyler Smith; (5) Great-Grandchildren; (4) Sisters Polly Smith, Linda Hicks, Rita Bolejack, and Lisa Warden (1) Brother Johnny Byrd. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     Joyce is preceded in death by her Husband: Charles E Smith; Parents: William Alford and Alma Dean Byrd Groce; (3) Brothers: Jerry Byrd, Terry Byrd and Larry Byrd; (1) Sister Judy Byrd.

      *The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Sunday evening June 14, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Chapel * In hopes of keeping family and friends safe, visitation will honor social distancing requirements. At this time, no food or beverage can be brought into Brown Funeral Chapel.

      Private, Graveside Services for immediate family only will be held Monday, June 15 at 10 AM from Oak Grove Cemetery.with Bro. Rick Cross officiating..
