Hershel Leo Mullins, age 94, of Mullins Road in Byrdstown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Pickett Co. Care and Rehab. He was born July 17, 1925 in Byrdstown, TN to Ezra Johnson Mullins and Zannie Bell (Flowers) Mullins. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army, factory worker, logger, Co. Highway Dept. truck driver and a farmer.
He is survived by (1) Daughter: Velma Long; (2) Sons: Jimmy Mullins and Timmy Mullins; (2) Grandchildren: Joshua D. Kempton and James Steven Mullins; Special Friend: Sarah Ledbetter. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Hershel was preceded in death by his Parents: Ezra and Zannie Mullins; Wife: Ora Estell (Amonett) Mullins; (3) Brothers: Virgil Mullins, Curtis Mullins, and Coy Mullins; (4) Sisters: Vince Lee, Virgie Chambers, Louiza Masiongale and Audra Mae Neal.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Andy Cope officiating. Burial will be in the Edgefield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Chapel.
