Donald Eugene Shaver

     Donald Eugene Shaver, age 88 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Overton County Health and Rehab.

     He was born February 10, 1936 in Livingston, TN to Mitchell Shaver and Iva (Gore) Shaver. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy, and a fruit tree farmer.

     Donald was survived by his wife: Shelba Jean (Logan) Shaver; (3) sons: Donald Edward Shaver and wife: Victoria, James Thomas Shaver and wife: Carmen, Daniel Webster Shaver and wife: Becky; (10) grandchildren, (11) great-grandchildren and (1) great-great grandchild. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents: Mitchell and Iva Shaver Fisher; (1) son: Lloyd "Pudge" Shaver; (1) great-grandchild: Tristen Chambless; (1) sister: Shirley Blaylock. 

     Funeral services were held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jason Shaw and Bro. John Cook officiating. The burial was in Good Hope Cemetery. Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 137 and Hull-York Chapter 5 DAV.

     Serving as pallbearers were Matthew Shaver, Samuel Shaver, Noah Shaver, Richard Logan, Jim Bob Sells and Rick Blaylock.

     The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM.
