Don Whitt

    Donald "Don" Whitt,age 85 of Greenbrier Road in Byrdstown, TN, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

    He was born September 21, 1936 in Wabeno, Wisconsin to Raymond and Laura (Perry) Whitt. He was a veteran serving in the Army and a heavy equipment operator.

    Don is survived by his Wife: Phyllis Lynn (Dowdy) Whitt; (1) Daughter: Debbie Combs and Husband: Art; (1) Son: Joe Wayne Miller; (1) Step Son: James Garrett and Wife: Teresa; (2) Step-Daughters: Tammy Pirie, Tonya Garrett and Fiancé: Kyle Phillips; (2) Sisters: Jean Pieratt and Pam Whitt; (2) Brothers: Eddie Whitt and Emory Whitt; (2) Grandchildren: Jessie Combs and Travis Combs; (5) Step-Grandchildren: James Andrew Garrett, Jacob Garrett, Justin Garrett, Blake Pattengale and Brooke Pirie. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his Parents: Raymond and Laura Whitt; (1) Brother: Wendell Whitt; (1) Grandchild: Emily Gray.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Daniel Masiongale officiating. Burial will be in the Edgefield Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends at the Brown Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
