Bertha Inell Kohout (Jolley), age 84 of Cookeville, TN passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Inell was born April 11, 1939 in Byrdstown, TN the second daughter of John Morton Jolley and Lilly Edith (Pierce) Jolley. She was a graduate of the University of TN, Knoxville. Inell was a registered Dietician, an owner – operator of the Honda House of Elmhurst, and a licensed private pilot flying out of the DuPage County Airport. She and her husband retired from business and returned to TN in 2017.
Inell is survived by 3 sisters: Glee Moody & husband, Jerry; Linda Koger Smith; Nelda Riley & husband, Steve: 1 brother, Leonard Jolley & wife, Joanne; (2) step daughters, Susan Farnsworth and Lisa Young. She leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity to a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.M. and Edith Pierce; husband, Richard Kohout; brother, Carl Jolley; brothers in law, J.D. Koger and Mack Smith.
Mrs. Kohout has chosen cremation with a memorial service at Brown Funeral Home in Byrdstown, TN to be held Saturday, May 27, 2023. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM at the Chapel with services beginning at 2:00 PM. Internment will follow at Vans Branch Cemetery.
