Glenn Edward Parris "Pig"

     Mr. Glenn Edward Parris "Pig" age 81 of Hillcrest Drive in Byrdstown, TN passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Pickett Co. Care and Rehab. He was born January 4, 1935 in Pickett Co.,Tennessee to Eugene Parris and Laura B. (Huddleston) Parris . Glenn lived all of his life in Pickett Co. and was past Pickett Co. Road Supervisor, Grocery and Hardware Store Owner and Operator,Custodian at Pickett Co. High School, Candy Maker at Russell Stover's, past Byrdstown City Recorder and Alderman. He was a member of the Byrdstown First Christian Church. Glenn enjoyed watching and following the Pickett Co. Bobcats Basketball, U.T. Vols Basketball and Football. Glenn was a member of the Byrdstown Masonic Lodge # 496. In celebrating Glenn's life we are asking that everyone that can, wear the color orange the day of the service.

     Pig is survived by (1) Daughter: Melissa Abell (Jeff) ; (4) Sons: James Parris (Sandy), Charles Parris, Jerry Parris (Marjorie), Gary Parris; (2) Sisters: Jean Bilbrey, Diane Bilbrey (Mike); Daughter-In-Law: Sheila Parris; Sister-In-Law: Jeanetta Upchurch; Special Friend: Louise  West; Cousin: Mike Edwards-Past U.T. Basketball Player; (12) Grandchildren; (25) Great Grandchildren; Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Eugene and Laura B. Parris; His Wife: Estlean "Shorty" Parris; (1) Son: David Parris; (1) Great Grandchild: Shelby Sells; Brother-In-Law: Ralph Bilbrey.

     Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Stone, Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Larry Brown officiating and burial in the Parris-Riley Cemetery.

      The Family will receive friends on Friday June 3, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Chapel
