Wendell Clay Mitchell

     Wendell Clay Mitchell, age 81 of Hermitage, TN passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his residence. 

     He was born November 18, 1943 in Byrdstown, TN to Willard Mitchell and Ruth (Smith) Mitchell. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a member of Grace Church in Franklin, TN and a former employee at Nashville Electric Service.

     Wendell was survived by (2) daughters: Lisa Mitchell Foster and husband: Ron, Karen Mitchell Horton and husband: Harwell; (2) grandchildren: Zoe Foster and Riggs Horton; (1) sister: Linda Adams; (1) brother: Kendell Mitchell and wife: Marietta. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents: Willard and Ruth Mitchell; brother-in-law: Dr. Myron John 'Mike' Adams III. 

     Graveside services were held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM from Smyrna Cemetery with Bill Sasser officiating. The burial was in Smyrna Cemetery.

     Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. from Grace Church in Franklin, TN.
