Steve Storie

     Stephen 'Steve' Wayne Storie, age 58 of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence.

     He was born May 28, 1966 in Hartford City, IN to James Winford 'George' Storie and Ina Lois (Cross) Storie. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a shipping factory employee, and loved playing basketball.

     Steve was survived by (2) sons: William Darrin Storie, Austin Tyler Storie (Emily Brooke); (1) grandchild: Ellinore Pearl Storie; father: George Storie and wife: Judy; mother: Ina Lois Hudson and husband: Jerry; (1) sister: Tamara Murphy; (2) brothers: Christopher Todd Storie and Troy Lee Storie. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by (1) brother: James Brian Storie. 

     Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Randy Tompkins and Bro. Keith Pryor officiating. The burial was in Clark Cemetery with military honors provided. 

     Serving as pallbearers were: Brody Pryor, Matthew Storie, Nathaniel Storie, Mickey Daniels, Michael Daniels, Martin Evans, Nixon Murphy and Scotty Cope.

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Darrell Beason, Jeff Young and Tony Smith.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Steve, can be made to Hull-York DAV Chapter 5 or a local cancer fund. 

     The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM.
