Steve Riley

     Stephen Howard Riley, better known as 'Steve', age 75 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at his residence.

     He was born February 12, 1950 to Ralph Howard Riley and Chrystell (Cummings) Riley. He attended Moodyville Baptist Church, was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a farmer, carpenter and business owner.

     Steve was survived by his wife: Nelda Sue (Jolley) Riley; (2) sons: D.J. Riley, James Riley and wife: Elizabeth; (6) grandchildren: JohnT, Wyatt, Kate, Abby, Emily and Lucy; (2) sisters: Carolyn Holt and husband: Greg, Donna Anderson and husband: Larry; (5) brothers: Jerry Riley, Dr. T.R. Riley and wife: Jenny, Dr. Tom Riley and wife: Leda, Kendall Riley and wife: Christine, Ed Riley. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Chrystell Riley; (1) grandchild: Maggie Riley; (2) sisters-in-law: Sharon Riley and Inell Kohout; (3) brothers-in-law: Mack Smith, Richard Kohout and Jerry Moody. 

     The family has chosen cremation, memorial services were held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM from Moodyville Baptist Church, with Dr. Tom Riley and Bro. Joel Chappell, Jr. officiating. The burial of the cremains was in Vann's Branch (Government) Cemetery. Military honors were provided at the graveside. 

     The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM at Moodyville Baptist Church.
