Shirley Vestil Smithers

     Shirley Vestil Smithers, age 75 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

     He was born July 4, 1947 in Byrdstown, TN to Charles Smithers and Oma (Latham) Asberry. He was a convenience store owner and a farmer. 

     Shirley was survived by (4) Daughters: Stefanie Smithers, Amanda Ringley, Lori Harrison and Teina Taylor Thrasher; (1) Son: Jamie Smithers; Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Father: Charles Smithers; Special Friend: Glenda Smithers; (3) Sisters: Judy Wood, Charlene Castle and Jennifer Marten; (2) Brothers: Harold Smithers and Larry Smithers. Also survived by other family members and friends. 

     He was preceded in death by his Mother: Oma Asberry; (1) Brother: Billy Ed Smithers.

     The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 7:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Loise Moses officiating. 

     The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM.
