Sharon Elaine (Jones) Cross

     Sharon Elaine (Jones) Cross, age 73 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at her residence.

     She was born October 23, 1952 in Moodyville, TN to Cliant Jones and Pearl (Gunter) Jones. She was a former garment factory employee and a caregiver.

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Cliant and Pearl Jones; her husband: Clyde Cross; (1) sister: Norma McCane; (3) brothers: Lindell Eugene, Jerry and E.J. Jones

     Sharon was survived by (1) daughter: Lacy Simpson and husband: Eric; (2) sons: Gary Cross and wife: Pat, James Cross; (10) grandchildren and (4) great-grandchildren; (1) sister: Ann Cook and husband: David; (1) brother: Jackie Jones. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     Funeral services were held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. The burial was in Smyrna Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Gary Cross, James Cross, Brian Cross, Greg Cross, Jr. Cook and Mike McCane. 

     The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
