Ronnie Joy Cross

     Ronnie Joy Cross, age 78 of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Signature Health Care Nursing Home of Muncie.

     Ronnie was born August 4, 1946 in Byrdstown, Tennessee, to Johnnie Elzy Cross and Lola Irene (Storie) Cross. Ronnie accepted Christ as a teen and was baptized. He started a career in the restaurant industry working for; Mr. Pizza, Shoney’s, Po Folks, also starting his own restaurants; the Mascot, Broken Axle, Hungry Farmer and Porky’s Drive In. Ronnie later started working for Lowes of Anderson where he was in charge of ordering and installing cabinets for the home repair store. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family, attending class and family reunions, he was always a hard worker and enjoyed staying busy, he never met a stranger and enjoyed helping people. Ronnie spent most of his retirement years working in his yard and garden and with his friends the Dargo family at the Frankie D’s flea market locations in Muncie.               

     Ronnie is survived by his; Sister: Rhuveda Cross. Sons: Barry Cross, Andy Cross and Corey Cross. His former spouse and caretaker: Nancy (Faulkner) Cross, Sister-in-law: Marilyn Cross, Nephew: Bob Cross and wife Jane, Niece: Mickie Cross, Great-Nephew: Tyler Cross, and Great Niece Lydia and husband: Levi Lanzoni. Also survived by other family members and close friends.

      He was preceded in death by his Son; Brentley Allen Cross, Parents: Johnnie and Lola Cross; Brother: Randall Cross and Infant twin brothers: Wendell and Glendell Cross.

      Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 7:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve McClure officiating.

      The family will receive friends Saturday, December 7, 2024  from 4:00 PM until time of the service at 7:00 PM.
