Rex Pryor

     Rex Allen Pryor, age 75 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 at Livingston Regional Hospital. 

     He was born June 23, 1951 in Albany, KY to Waverly 'Spat' Pryor and Elsie (Hickman) Pryor. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army; a member of the Byrdstown Masonic Lodge #496; a cabinet dealer, carpenter and mechanic. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents: Spat and Elsie Pryor; (4) brothers: Harce Pryor, Carl Pryor, Ray Pryor and Ralph Pryor; (2) sisters: Lorene Nadonnelly and Helen Crawford.

     Rex was survived by (3) daughters: Renee Pryor Robbins and husband: Anthony, Dr. Karen McLerran and husband: Joe, Kristie Eden and husband: Brandon; (8) grandchildren: Andy Robbins (Becca), Carlie Robbins (Caleb), Lexie Robbins, Amelia Robbins, William Spencer McLerran, Kaylynn Dalton and Marley Dalton, (3) great-grandchildren: Raelynn Robbins, Renlie Robbins and Alden Robbins; (1) sister: Judy Pryor; (1) brother: William "Bill" Pryor, (2) special nephews: Darryl Crawford and Allen Ray Pryor. 

     Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Jeff Flowers officiating. The burial was in Story Cemetery with military honors provided by Hull-York Chapter 5 DAV. 

     Serving as pallbearers Caleb Guffey, Jonathan Crawford, Jason Crawford, Darryl Crawford, Andy Robbins, Carter Martin and Allen Ray Pryor. 

      Masonic services will be held Monday at 7:30 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.     

      The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
