Norris Copeland better known as 'Rowdy', age 82 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at his residence.
He was born October 4, 1942 in Byrdstown, TN to James Martin Copeland and Delia (Amonett) Copeland. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a farmer and maintenance factory employee. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the McDonald Chapel Church.
Rowdy was survived by his loving wife of 57 years: Helen (Albertson) Copeland; (2) daughters: Tammy Bilbrey and husband: Keith, Rachel Louise King and husband: Tommy; (1) son: Steven Copeland and wife: Emma; (3) grandchildren: Erica Guthrie and Husband: Jacob , Jacob King and Jared King; (1) great-grandchild: Karmen King, and baby Guthrie on the way; (1) sister-in-law: Nellie Copeland. Also survived by special nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Delia Copeland; (2) sisters: Noema Matheson, Naomi Hamby and an infant sister; (8) brothers: Noman, Noel, Nolan, Norman, Noah, Noble Copeland and (2) twin brothers: Ned and Nathan Copeland.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Harris, Bro. Jeff Flowers and Bro. Tim Albertson officiating. The burial was in Amonett Cemetery with military honors being provided.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Hollar, Jared King, Matthew Ford, Tommy King, Chad Watts, Tim Albertson and Jeff Albertson.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer was Jacob King.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
