Michael Wayne Thompson

     Michael Wayne Thompson, age 72 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Nashville VA Medical Center.

     He was born November 9, 1949 in New Castle, IN to Roy Stanley Thompson and Willie Belle (Beaty) Thompson. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a roofer for 17 years, insulation contractor for 28 years, farmer, local businessman and one cool dude. 

     Michael is survived by (2) Sons: Chris Thompson and Wife: Crystal, Tyler Thompson and Wife: Rachel; (1) Daughter: Molly Maxwell and Husband: Justin; (1) Brother: Stanley Thompson and Wife: Lucille; (3) Sisters: Elizabeth Royann Randall, Sue Cooksey and Husband: Michael, Dorothy Polston; (1) Sister-In-Law: Carol Thompson; (6) Grandchildren: Garrett Thompson and Wife: Madison, Ian Thompson, Mckinly Thompson, Sophie Thompson, Emma Thompson and Millie Thompson; (1) Great-Grandchild: Mercy Thompson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. 

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Roy and Willie Thompson; Wife of 32 Years: Brenda Faye (Lee) Thompson; (1) Brother: Thomas Eugene Thompson.

     Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Lovelady-Sims Cemetery with military honors conducted by Hull-York DAV Chapter 5 and American Legion Post 137 - Jamestown, TN.

     The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM
