Mary E. (Mitchell) Holt Griffin

     Mary E. (Mitchell) Holt Griffin, age 79 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.

     She was born September 22, 1944 in Byrdstown, TN to Richard Willis Mitchell and Martha (Garrett) Mitchell. She was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church and a hair dresser.

     Mary was survived by her husband: Everett McClain Griffin; (2) daughters: Belinda Lee (Charlie), Regina Johnson (Phil); (2) stepsons: Chad Griffin (Misty), Randall Griffin (Felisha); (6) grandchildren: Jonathan Lee (Brittany), Autumn Bennett (Zander), Cody Glass, Hannah Young (Caleb), Bailey Griffin and John Griffin; (4) great-grandchildren: Jayden, Brylen and Jonah Lee, Kevin Young; (1) sister: Anna Smith. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Martha Mitchell; (1) sister: Ruby Mitchell; (1) brother: Clyde Mitchell.

     Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Steve McClure officiating. The burial was in Tompkins Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Jonathan Lee, John Griffin, Jerry Mitchell, David Smith, Michael Glass and Cody Glass.

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were James Wayne Mitchell and Jerry Gale Mitchell. 

     The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.
