Linnie Christine Jordan, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026.
Linnie spent her entire life loving her family. As an early teenager, she left school to help her parents, Titus and Matha Walker, raise her younger siblings. She loved them like her own children. On March 9, 1957, she married the love of her life, Paul Buford Jordan, and they moved to Nashville where they lived for 25 years. After raising three children in Nashville, they moved back to her hometown of Byrdstown, Tn. After suffering a severe stroke in 2004, she provided care for Paul until his death on June 23, 2013. Her son Steven Frank Jordan passed away December 27, 1986. Her son Buford “Ray” Jordan passed away on May 31, 2023. Her stepson, David Nolan Jordan passed away April 3, 2013.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Daniel and husband Richard. She was very proud of the loving care they both provided, especially over the last couple of years.

She was very loved by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Over the last two weeks nurses Micki Smith and Tina Davis at Livingston Regional Hospital provided a level of care above and beyond all expectations. Their care and compassion were not only appreciated but will always be remembered.
Over the last two years the family appreciates those who have helped take care of Linnie and keep her in the comfort of her own home. Special caregivers include Diane Lewallen who preceded her in death, Chasity Tuggle, Brylee Ledford, Christie Chambers and Joann Hill and all other staff at Quality Home Health, Dr. Cynthia Cahill who visited her at home, and so many others that helped along the way.
Linnie’s final days were peaceful as she was surrounded by family and friends. She was able to say goodbye to each of them in person or by phone. It was clear on her focus this week and always… know Jesus and join her in Heaven. She was loved by all that knew her, and she gladly returned that love.
