Leroy Alfred Prokopf

     Leroy Alfred Prokopf age 77 of Means Lane in Byrdstown, Passed away Saturday Oct. 31, 2020 at the St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN, notified by hospital. 

     He was born June 4, 1943 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Roy Prokopf and Mary Louise (Emery) Prokopf. He was a employee for 10 years at Sunset Marina, previously owned his own painting business in Louisville, KY. He also worked for Commonwealth Life Insurance Company. Leroy graduated from Ball State University Cum lau,de. He was a member of the Emmanuel Catholic Church in Albany, Ky and was in the U.S. Air Force.

     Leroy is survived by (1) Daughter: Wendy Andrews and Husband: Dave; Mother and Step-Father: Mary Louise Means and Eugene Means; (1) Sister: Judy Gutierrez; Several Grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his Father: Roy Prokopf; (1) Son: Bradley Prokopf who died at the age of 19.

     The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be held Friday Nov. 20, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. from the Amonett Cemetery.
