Lear (Storie) Garrett

     Jannie Lear (Storie) Garrett, age 85 of Byrdstown, TN, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Pickett Care & Rehab.

     She was born April 5. 1939 in Byrdstown, TN to Denton Storie and Leta (Poore) Storie. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired garment factory employee.

     Lear was survived by her husband: James Garrett; (2) sons: Darrell Garrett and wife: Jamie, Joey Garrett and wife: Rosann; (3) sisters: Wilma Smith, Jirldean Claywell, Lonel Wilson; (1) brother: Mike Storie; (4) grandchildren; (3) great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Denton and Leta Storie; (1) sister: Lerlene Zachary; (2) infant sons: Ricky and Tony Garrett.

     Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. from Brown Funeral Chapel. Bro Ricky Cross and Bro. Jeff Monday officiating. Burial was in Williams Chapel Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Evan Garrett, Damian Garrett, Will Duke, Lynn Garrett, Garry Garrett, Steve Garrett and Robbie Garrett.

     The family with receive friends Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Chapel.
