Lavern Stockton

     Norma Lavern (Copeland) Stockton, age 81 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Pickett Care and Rehab.

     She was born April 25, 1942 in Byrdstown, TN to Homer Copeland and Monta (Means) Copeland. She was a member of Smyrna Church and a homemaker.

     Lavern was survived by (1) Granddaughter: CarolAnn Stockton; Daughter-In-Law: Kim Arms and Husband: Bryan; Special Caregiver: Judy Moon. Also survived by other family members and friends. 

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Homer and Monta Copeland; Husband: Bobby Stockton; Son: Emerson Stockton; (4) Brothers: Gerald, Olan, Duane and Harlan Copeland; Sister-In-Law: Connie Copeland; Nephew: Tony Copeland.

     Funeral services were held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was in Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. 

     Serving as pallbearers were Francis Copeland, Bernie Copeland, Luke Garrett, Dewey Copeland, Bode Copeland and Craig Richardson.

     The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
