Kenny Ray Sheppard

     Kenneth Ray Sheppard better known as 'Kenny', age 66 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at his residence.

     He was born June 21, 1959 in Crossville, TN to Jessie Fred Perkins and Margie Lucille (Sheppard) Sheppard. He was a HVAC technician. 

     He was preceded in death by his father: Jessie Fred Perkins; (1) sister: Tammy Perkins; (1) half-brother: Steve Koger. 

     Kenny was survived by (1) daughter: Elaine Sheppard; (1) son: Kenneth Ray Sheppard II; (3) grandchildren: Levi, Brittney and Charlie; mother: Margie Perkins; (3) sisters: Robbin Rochelle, Patricia Slaven and Jeanie Hughes; (2) brothers: Steve Sheppard and Bobby Stockton. Also survived by nieces, nephews, mother of his children: Debbie Sheppard, other family members and friends. 

     Funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross, Kenneth Sheppard II and Jackie South officiating. The burial was in Edgefield Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Elaine Sheppard, John McClellan, Brad Harden, Joey Claborn, Jeremy Braswell, Wayne Modglin, Andrew Murdock, Kevin Gilliam and James Slaven. 

     The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
