Joanna (Galpin) Harer

     Joanna (Galpin) Harer, age 86 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Pickett Care and Rehab.

     She was born September 11, 1938 in Bournemouth, England to Clifton James Galpin and Phyllis (Hembery) Galpin. She was a member of Etter Baptist Church, and a member of Byrdstown Knitting Club.

     Joanna was survived by her husband: David Joseph Harer; (2) sons: Daniel James Harer and Martin Douglas Harer; (3) grandchildren: Nathan, Katherine and Nicholas Harer; (1) brother: Christopher Galpin and wife: Christine. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Clifton and Phyllis Galpin; (1) brother: John Galpin. 

     Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Eric Thoman and Bro. Rick Cross officiating. The burial was in Huddleston Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Dan Harer, Martin Harer, Nicholas Harer, Ronnie Keith, Wayne Keith and Larry Kettinger.

     The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
