Jessie (Clark) Cooksey

     Jessie (Clark) Cooksey, age 87 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Livingston Regional Hospital. 

     She was born June 16, 1938 in Byrdstown, TN to Will Clark and Antha (Manis) Clark. She was an owner and secretary at Clinton Tire Co. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Will and Antha Clark; (1) daughter: Billie Renee Phillips; (1) sister: Willie Kay Reeder; (2) brothers: Aubrey Clark and Hollis Clark.

     Jessie was survived by her husband: Steve Cooksey; (1) son: Steven Cooksey; (6) grandchildren: Grayson Smith, Lydia Cooksey, Jessa Cooksey, Chloe Phillips, Ethan Phillips and Avery Phillips; (1) great-grandchild: Hayden Phillips. 

     Funeral services were held Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Tompkins, Bro. Keith Pryor and Bro. Rick Cross officiating. The burial was in Clark Cemetery. 

     Serving as pallbearers were Don Winningham, Wade Hurst, Johnny Cook, Cornel Bulubenchi, Brandon Ferguson and Jimmy Thrasher. 

     The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
