Jerry Glenn Parris

     Jerry Parris, age 66 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at St. Thomas Hospital West.

     He was born March 31, 1958 in Livingston, TN to Glenn Edward Parris and Estlean (Brown) Parris. He was of the Christian faith, a heavy equipment owner/operator and a merchant. 

     Jerry was survived by his wife: Marjorie (Corder) Parris; (1) son: Jerry Eugene Parris and wife: Julie; (1) daughter: Glenna Michele Foster and husband: Justin; (10) grandchildren and (3) great-grandchildren; (1) sister: Melissa Abell and husband: Jeff; (1) brother: Gary Parris; (2) sister-in-laws: Sandy Parris and Shelia Parris. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents: Glenn and Estlean Parris; (3) brothers: David Parris, Charles Parris and James Parris. 

     Funeral services were held Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Joel Chappell, Sr. and Chaplain Martha Rucker officiating. The burial was in Parris-Riley-Russell Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Parris, Damien Parris, Dante Parris, Eugene Parris, Barton Parris and Jacob Parris.

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were David Parris, Lyric Parris, James Mitchell, Slayde Copeland and Davin Caldwell.

     The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
