Janice Mildred (Whittenburg) Stinson

     Janice Mildred (Whittenburg) Stinson, age 80 of Algood, TN passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County.

     She was born December 10, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to Kenneth Whittenburg and Geneva (West) Whittenburg. She was a housewife. 

     Janice was survived by (1) Daughter: Brenda Johnson and Husband: Adam - Cookeville, TN; (2) Sons: Doug Stinson and Wife: Debbie - Cookeville, TN, Tim Stinson and Wife: Connie - Cookeville, TN; (12) Grandchildren: Theresa Goebel, Tessa Wright, Marylin Ledbetter, Mindy Gordan, Douglas Stinson, Kayla Stinson, Levi Stinson, Danielle Burton, Steven Sorrell, Stephanie Prater, Shana van Aalten and Brittney Stinson, (10) Great-Grandchildren and (2) Great-Great-Grandchild; (2) Sisters: Bonnie Bowman - Cookeville, TN, Virginia Brannum - Cookeville, TN; (2) Brothers: Jack Whittenburg and Wife: Phyllis - Byrdstown, TN, Walter Burgen Whittenburg and Wife: Pat - Springfield, TN. Also survived by other family members and friends. 

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Kenneth Whittenburg and Geneva Whittenburg Cope; Stepfather: Stanley Cope; (4) Sisters: Lorraine Whittenburg, Leedale Shaffer, Dean Rhule and Patsy Whittenburg; (1) Brother: Ralph Whittenburg.

     Graveside services were held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM from Davidson Cemetery with Bro. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial was in Davidson Cemetery.
