Grace Inez (Story) Asberry

     Grace Inez (Story) Asberry age 96 of Old Static Road in Byrdstown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020 at Pickett Co. Care and Rehab.

     She was born Sept. 3, 1924 in Byrdstown, TN to Raymond Reed Story and Lela Ollie (Mullinix) Story. She was a member of the Byrdstown First Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Grace loved sewing and made gifts for all of the family. She also enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. She taught many years as a Sunday school teacher and was a Girls in Action leader.

     Grace is survived by (1) Daughter: Cathie Cool and Husband: Mark; (2) Sons: Johnny Asberry, Steve Asberry and Wife: Barb; (8) Grandchildren: John William Asberry and Wife: Leanne, Erin Asberry Kennard, Marshall Cool and Wife: Ellen, Jake Cool and Wife: Darcy, Andy Asberry and Wife: Ashley, Adam Asberry, Alan Asberry and Wife: Amanda, Amanda Asberry Hardcastle and Husband: Abe; (18) Great Grandchildren. Also survived by  several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Raymond Story and  Lela Story; Husband: J.C. Asberry; (1) Son: Ronald Asberry; (4) Sisters: Lorene Crownover, Ruth Brock, Cue Matthews and Joanne Clark; (2) Brothers: Ward and J.Wint Story.

     In light of the pandemic, the family chose a private graveside service at Maupin Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Brent Clark officiating.
