George Ernest Huddleston

    George Ernest Huddleston, 86, passed away on September 22,2020, He was born on June 1, 1934 in Pall Mall,Tennessee to Sam and Mila (Chapman) Huddleston. He was the last surviving offspring out of 8 to Sam and Mila.

    George was an anchor to his family and was always good for support, a laugh and a chat with anyone who would talk with him. Even during his last few years, as his memory was failing. He always maintained his sense of humor and kept his family laughing.

    George married the love of his life, Margaret (Riley) Huddleston of Byrdstown, 69 years ago, on June 9, 1951. They had lived their last 25 years in Jamestown and only recently moved to Crossville to be closer to their daughter.

    George is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Linda (Dean) Packard of Reedsburg, Wisconsin and Charlotte (Terry) Reiterman of Crossville, Tennessee; his 4 grandchildren, Paul Christianson of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, Aaron Christianson currently of Frankfurt, Germany, Brandon (Kendrah) Young of Beloit, Wisconsin, and Kami Young (Karina Wiles) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Kole, Kellie, Katrina, Hannah and Olivia and 1 great-great grandson and 1 more on the way.

    George was one of the hardest working men an devoted his life to providing for his wife and family. His ethical ways and strong conviction of being honest, hard working man, made him a man to be admired. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, Lesco and Mary Riley of Jamestown, Tennessee, his son-in-law Richard Christianson of Portage, Wisconsin and by his seven siblings, 5 bothers and 2 sisters.

    George accepted Christ a few years ago, and we take comfort in knowing we will see him again. He will be deeply missed by his wife and family and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

     Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 P.M from the Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the William's Chapel Cemetery.
