Evelyn (Rich) Robbins

Evelyn Rich Robbins of Gainesville, FL died on July 24, 2025 at the age of 98 in Gainesville. She was born on March 13, 1927 in Faix, TN. Evelyn was the youngest of three girls born to William M. and Ada Riley Rich. She graduated from Pickett County High School and attended Tennessee Tech with her husband, Ralph Robbins, graduating with a degree in medical technology. Evelyn worked in research laboratories her whole career, retiring from the University of Florida. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Ralph Robbins, her sisters Ruth Rich Boody and Pauline (Polly) Rich Lyday and two nephews, Dr. Frederick Boody Jr. and William Rex Lyday. She is survived by nieces Betsy Gunn (Jim), Kathy Lyday, Debbie Chapman (George), August Lyday and nephews Drew Boody (Holly) and Richard Lyday, niece-in-law Lilo Siegel, and special caregiver, Susan Jones (Mike).

Graveside services were held Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at E.A. Garrett Cemetery with Bro. Rick Cross officiating.
