Edna Charlene (Martin) Martin

     Edna Charlene Martin, age 98, of North Main St. in Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Pickett Care and Rehab. 

     She was born October 4, 1921 in Static, TN to William Clarence Martin and Lula Mae (Hildreth) Martin. She was of Christian faith, a retired school teacher and an Atomic Girl at Oak Ridge National Laboratory during the later years of WWII.

     Charlene is survived by (2) Sisters: Nell Upchurch and Cora Sue Williams; (8) Nieces; (3) Nephews.  Also survived by other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: William and Lula Martin; (2) Sisters: Lenola Dyer and Orella Boles; (3) Brothers: Willie D. Martin, Donald Martin and Glenn Martin; (3) Nephews and (1) Niece.

     Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Maupin Cemetery.
