David Winningham

     James David Winningham, age 72 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

     He was born January 5, 1951 in Jamestown, TN to Willard and Velma (Reeder) Winningham. He was of the Baptist faith, a former employee for the City of Byrdstown for 36 years, served in the U.S. Army for 6 years and in the National Guard for 6 years, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #496 for 39 years.

     David was survived by (3) Daughters: Melissa Davis and Husband: David, Stephanie Parrigin and Husband: Chad, Kathie Winningham; (1) Sister: Gaye Wilkerson and Husband: Mike; (3) Brothers: Wayde Winningham and Wife Sharon, Wayne Winningham, Richard Winningham and Wife: Belinda; (9) Grandchildren: Colt Butler and Wife Shelby, Chandler Winningham, Landon Parrigin, J.D. Davis, Brylee Parrigin, Kyra Phares, Peyton Davis and Wife: Missie, Tanya Davis, Brett Davis and Wife: Tori; (5) Great Grandchildren and (1) on the way. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his Father: Willard Winningham; Mother: Velma Pyle; Wife: Becky Winningham; (1) Brother: Freeman Winningham.

     Funeral services were held Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross and Bro. Randy Tompkins officiating. Burial was in Winningham Cemetery. Military honors were provided by Hull-York Chapter 5 DAV and American Legion Post #137. Masonic services were provided by Byrdstown Masonic Lodge #496.

     Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Winningham, Brett Davis, Peyton Davis, Melvin Hickman, Willard Winningham and Dana Dowdy. 

     The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

     Masonic services will be Saturday evening at 7:00 P.M.
