Christine (Neal) Sells

     Golda Christine (Neal) Sells, age 92 of Albany, KY passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

     She was born July 20, 1930 in Byrdstown, TN to Albert Neal and Nora (Little) Neal. She was of Christian faith and a retired school teacher. In 1947, she was Valedictorian at Pickett County High School. She earned a Bachelors and Masters degree from California State University, Fresno. 

     Christine was survived by (1) Daughter: Alice Sells; (1) Son: Dr. Gary Sells and Wife: Pam; (3) Grandchildren: Jason, Meagan and Natalie; (7) Great-Grandchildren: Natsuki & Koki - Both from Tokyo, Addison, Taylor, Molly, Haylie and Lincoln; (1) Sister: Allen Beaty. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. 

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Albert and Nora Neal; Husband: Millard Sells; (3) Sisters: Betty Ann Bilbrey, Roselle Pryor and Margie Pittman; (2) Brothers: Hollis Neal and Earnest "Tince" Neal. 

     Funeral services were held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Beaty, Bro. Stacy Evans and Bro. Keith Pryor officiating. Burial will be in Vann's Branch (Government) Cemetery. 

     Serving as pallbearers were Ron Steinhour, Dr. Mark Maupin, Sawyer Stalcup, Tony Boils, Kendle Davidson, Darrell Huddleston and Jimmy Cope.

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were J.T. Bilbrey, Huel Neal, Dr. Bob Hunt, John Cameron, Fentress County Executive Jimmy Johnson, Judge Lyle Huff, Darryl Winningham and James Rea.
