Ms. Bonza Zella (Bowman) Smith, age 97, of Overton County Care & Rehab, passed away on Wednesday, September, 30 2020 at Overton County Care & Rehab. She was born December 29, 1922 to the late John B. Bowman & Martha (Henley) Bowman in Overton County, TN. Bonza was an employee of a local garment factory and homemaker. She was also a member of Wirmingham Church of Christ.
She is survived by (1) daughter: Portia Grissom of Algood, Tn & (1) daughter-in-law: Betty Smith of Livingston, TN; Also several grand and great-grandchildren ; Survived by special friend: Burxie Henry of Monterey, Tn. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bonza is preceded in death by her husband: Allard Smith; (1) son: Hershel Smith; (1) daughter: Stella Holly; (2) sisters: Lucille "Lucy" Dale & Zilpha Greenwood; (1) brother: Harlon Bowman; (1) granddaughter: Lisa Davidson
Funeral service for Bonza Smith will be held graveside at Wirmingham Cemetery on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Ronnie Cobb officiating.
