Bennie Lou (Pritchard) Cross

     Bennie Lou (Pritchard) Cross, age 91 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at Pickett Care and Rehab.

     She was born October 16, 1934 in Byrdstown, TN to John William Pritchard and Bertha (Jones) Pritchard. She was a member of Bloomington Christian Church, a former cook for U.C.H.R.A., and a garment factory employee. 

     Bennie was survived by (2) daughters: Sherrie Brown and husband; Francis, Jamie Claborn and husband: Joey; (2) sons: Van Cross and wife: Marilyn, Jeff Cross and wife: Jackie; (9) grandchildren and (20) great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Shirley Cross; sister-in-law: Rita Pritchard. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Bertha Pritchard; husband: James A. Cross; (1) son: Mark Cross; (2) sisters: Betty Neal, Sue Little; (2) brothers: Smith Pritchard, J.C. Pritchard. 

     Funeral services were held Monday, December 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. The burial was in Cross Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Toby Claborn, Tori Davis, Brett Davis, Nick Cross, Ben Key, Evan Key, Sawyer Key and Natalie Claborn. 

     The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
