Aletha (Huddleston) Conner

     Bessie Aletha (Huddleston) Conner, age 98 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Pickett Care and Rehab.

     She was born July 25, 1925 in Byrdstown, TN to James Huddleston and Ollie E. (Huddleston) Huddleston. She was a member of Wolf River United Baptist Church and a retired garment factory employee. 

      Aletha was survived by (3) daughters: Rosie Rogers (Michael), Lily Greene (Steve) and Julia Wright; (2) sons: James Conner and Elbert 'Chico' Conner; (18) grandchildren and (27) great-grandchildren; (1) brother: Willie 'Bill' Huddleston. Also survived by other family members and friends. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Ollie Huddleston; husband: Albert Conner; (2) daughters: Leta Gatlin, Mary 'Susie' Busby; (2) grandchildren: Chris Busby and Jeremy Conner; (2) great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Farr and Dylan Stewart; (1) sister: Annie Mae Logan; (2) brothers: Eugene Huddleston and Howard Huddleston.

     Funeral services were held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Wolf River United Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. The burial was in Lovelady-Sims Cemetery. 

     Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Conner, Matthew Conner, Lucas Boswell, Joseph Boswell, Christopher Rogers and Brad Wright. 

     The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel.
