Sylvia Christine Norrod

     Sylvia Christine (Wilson) Norrod age 94 of Tom Griffin Ln. in Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at her residence.

     She was born July 30, 1924 in Wilder, TN to Cordell Wilson and Millie (Smith) Wilson. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Daleville, IN and a homemaker.

     Sylvia is survived by (2) Daughters: Loretta Jane Purkey and Husband: Jim - Byrdstown, TN , Patricia Lee Grile and Husband: Kurt - Springport, IN ; (3) Grandchildren: Jeff, Steve and Michelle ; (2) Great Grandchildren: Jeffrey and Danielle. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Cordell and Millie Wilson ; Husband: Barney Norrod ; (4) Brothers: Bufford, Phillips, James and Herbert Wilson ; (1) Sister: Beulah Phillips. 

     Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 4:00 PM from the Brown Funeral Chapel in Byrdstown, TN with Bro. John Stone officiating and burial in the Elm Ridge Memorial Park in Muncie, IN. 

* The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 1:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Chapel and Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Elm Ridge Funeral Home in Muncie, IN*
