I have so many great memories coming to your store with my granny Bernie. One time we came and so did my cousin and we saw Aaron Tippin. You are the sweetest, funniest man I’ve ever known. Your home with Jesus you’ll never need or hurt again.

I am so sorry about Herb's passing. I just read the e-mail notice from TFC. I was honored to work for Herb for many years. Brenda and I enjoyed many trips and events with Herb and Jennie. Herb and Brenda discussed basketball many times when your Granddaughter was playing. God Bless the entire family.

Dear Family,
My sympathy is with you. Growing up in Byrdstown, I feel that I know most of the Groce family and Rich and Allene were Mom and Dad's good friends. By chance, my husband and Nicole worked together at an insurance office in Cookeville. When Nicole and I met for the first time, it took only a few minutes for us to connect and she said she remembered the names of my parents, Ruth and Tack, as being her great-grandparents friends. So thru four generations, I'm glad to continue friendship with your family. Praying for peace and comfort to each of you. Susan Ray

Dear Groce family: I am so sorry to hear of Herb's passing. I experienced your family's warmth and hospitality during the summer of 1967 when I first came to Moodyville as a summer missionary, and in the years following after I married the young pastor of Moodyville Baptist Church (Steve Smith). The love and guidance you provided for us when we were young, green and knew "nothing" was so appreciated. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time and the days ahead. Much love, Avis Smith

Mrs. Groce and Family
I am sadden to learn of Mr. Herb passing. First met him in 1973 when I went to work at the Gate Plant in LaVergne.
Herb, David Lancaster and I used to go to breakfast nearly ever morning.
He was a good and fair boss for many years. I am the guy that sold my white Mazda truck to Herb after fighting over the price for three months! He leaves us all with many fond memories.
The Groce family are in my Prayers. Buford
