Bobbie Ruth (Groce) Elder

     Bobbie Ruth (Groce) Elder, age 82, of Ashers Fork Dr. in Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Byrdstown, TN, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at Creekside at Three Rivers in Murfreesboro, TN. 

     She was born April 23, 1937 in Albany, KY to Robert D. Groce and Sallie Ineta (Guthrie) Groce. She was a member of Byrdstown First Baptist Church, a retired LPN and a homemaker.

     Bobbie is survived by (1) Daughter: Dr. Ineta Cobb and Husband: Scott ; (1) Son: Dr. Robert Elder and Wife: Nancy ; (4) Sisters: Carolyn Dyer, Sharon Russell, Diann McWhorter and Cathy Tompkins ; (3) Grandchildren: Suzanne Bond and Husband: Josh, Caroline Madden and Husband: Dale,  Elissa Cobb ; (2) Great Grandchildren: Annalee Bond and James Robert Bond ; Step Mother: Shirley Groce Austin. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Robert D. Groce and Sallie Ineta (Guthrie) Groce ; Husband: Porter Frank Elder ; (2) Brothers: Ronnie Robinson and Johnny Robinson. 

     Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Byrdstown First Baptist Church with Bro. Ivan Raley and Bro. Jack Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the Lovelady-Sims Cemetery.
