Michael Joseph Yoder

     Michael Joseph "Joe Joe" Yoder, age 44, of Robbinstown Rd. in Byrdstown, TN, and of Nashville, TN, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Alive Hospice Nashville.

     He was born March 9, 1979 in Livingston, TN to Michael Lamarr Yoder and Julie Faye (Winningham) Yoder. He has had many physical challenges since contracting viral encephalitis when he was almost 3 years old. He enjoyed toy cars, the beach, the Vols, Coca Cola, cartoons, and the Dukes of Hazzard.

     Joe Joe was survived by (3) Sisters: Julieana Haubert, Vanessa LaBarge and Husband: Ryan, and Sara Yoder; (6) Niece and Nephews: Joshua Yoder and Wife: Addy, Austin Haubert, Cody LaBarge and Wife: Tasha, Marissa Huddleston and Husband: Jesse, Alex Haubert and Wife: Valerie, and Gage Garcia; (9) Great Niece and Nephews: Jaylee, Heidi, Ella, Heath, Damien, John Hunter, Miles, Royce and Braylynn; (11) Aunts and Uncles: Jewell Pritchett (JD), Janice Poore, Jackie Winningham, Jackie Jones, Kay Rains (Bobby), Sue Winningham, Becky Masters (Rick), and Lisa Bethune. He is also survived by a dear caregiver, Angela Smith of NC, and many other family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Michael and Julie Yoder; Grandparents: Dillard and Delza Winningham, Joe Bill and Rachel Yoder; Niece: Kyra Yoder-Clifford; Aunts and Uncles: John and Jane Winningham, Jimmy Yoder, Shirley Sue Ort, Eugene Poore, Judy Varner, Justine Jones, Jim Winningham, and Rod Winningham.

     Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Cross officiating. The burial was in Winningham Family Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers were Joshua Yoder, Austin Haubert, Jesse Huddleston, Gage Garcia, Ryan LaBarge and Jason Wilson. 

     The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
