Jimmy "Jim" Walton Martin

     Jimmy Walton Martin better known as "Jim" age 71 of Dry Valley Road in Cookeville and a former resident of Byrdstown,passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville, TN.

     He was born January 16, 1945 in Albany, KY to Benton "B.W." Walton Martin and Geneva (Story) Martin. He was a past car salesman, auto dealer and owner of M & M Motor Co., a school teacher and a farmer. 

     Jim is survived by (2) Sons: Craig Martin and Wife: Heather , Carter Martin and Wife: Jeanetta ; (1) Sister: Phyllis Davidson and Husband: Bill ; Mother of His Children: Elaine Storie and Husband: Kendall; (4) Grandchildren: Benjamin, Gabrielle, Meika and Ty Martin ; (1) Niece: Leigh Ann Ray and Husband: Gary ; (1) Nephew: Jeff Davidson and Wife: Becky. 

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Benton and Geneva Martin ; (1) Grandson: Jonathan Martin. 

     Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Brent Davis and Bro. Rick Cross officiating. Burial to follow in the Vann's Branch Cemetery.
