Herbert Q Groce

     Herbert Q. Groce age 85 of Moodyville Road in Byrdstown, TN passed away Thursday January 18, 2018 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. 

     He was born July 24, 1932 in Byrdstown, TN to Rich Groce and Alline (McDonald) Groce. He was a member and deacon at Moodyville Missionary Baptist Church, vice president of the Farmer's Co-op corporate office in Lavergne, TN , served as bank director at Union Planters Bank, Regions Bank and Union Bank, and was a farmer. He was a member of the Byrdstown Masonic Lodge # 496 and Byrdstown Lions Club.

     Herbert is survived by his Wife: Jennie Ruth (Crouch) Groce ; (1) Son: Herbert Turney Groce and Wife: Tammy ; (2) Sisters: Judy Huddleston and Husband: Willie , Margo Robbins ; (1) Brother: Mike Groce and Wife: Bonnie ; (1) Granddaughter: Nicole Ziegler and Husband: Pete ; (3) Great Grandchildren: Rowan, Roslyn and Knox Turney Ziegler. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. 

     He was preceded in death by his Parents: Rich and Alline Groce ; (1) Daughter: Mary Elizabeth Groce ; (1) Sister: Shirley Kinchen ; (2) Brother-In-Laws: Gerald Kinchen and Ward Robbins. 

     Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1:30 P.M from the Moodyville Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joel Chappell officiating and burial in the Lovelady-Sims Cemetery.
