Evalene (Pierce) Phillips

     Evalene (Pierce) Phillips age 90 of Cordell Hull Memorial Drive in Byrdstown, TN passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN.

     She was born February 22, 1926 in Pickett Co., TN to Joseph Charles Pierce and Edna (Barnes) Pierce. She was a member of the Byrdstown First Christian Church and a retired school teacher. 

     Evalene is survived by (1) Daughter: Marian White and Husband: Bill ; (1) Sister: Betty Bertram and Husband: Joe ; (2) Grandchildren: Teresa Bateman and Husband: Dan , Cheeba White ; (2) Great Grandchildren: Bailey Bateman and Avery Bateman. Also survived by nieces,nephews, other family members and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her Parents: Joseph and Edna Pierce ; Husband: Russel Phillips ; (1) Brother: Arthur Pierce ; (2) Sisters: Emogene Pendergrass and Elsie Holt. 

     Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Stone officiating and burial in the Vann's Branch Cemetery.
